We are pleased to inform you that Gilead Community Services, Inc. has been accredited by CARF International (an independent, international accrediting body) for a period of three years (through December 2013) for the all of its programs (which include the following programs & services):

• Gilead Outpatient Clinic (Middletown), Gilead Outpatient Clinic (Chester) - Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Adults);
• Gilead One, Gilead Two, SCAP – Group Home - Residential Treatment: Mental Health (Adults);
• Baldwin Home, Iris Home, Anchorage Home - Residential Treatment: Mental Health (Children and Adolescents);

This is the second accreditation that CARF has awarded to Gilead Community Services, Inc. As stated by CARF International in their accreditation letter to Gilead Community Services, Inc.: “This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence.”

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards.

CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. CARF establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
