Middlesex County Community Foundation's Women & Girls Fund Awards Gilead $2,000

The MCCF/Fund for Women & Girls awarded Gilead $2,000 for the Iris Home Recovery Fund. Iris Home is an adolescent group home in Cromwell. This fund will be used by the staff and residents to participate in activities that work toward the girls recovery.

The Middlesex County Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in Middlesex County. Its mission is to work with charitably-minded individuals and organizations to build permanent endowments and other charitable funds and to support local non-profit organizations through effective grantmaking to addresss community needs. Since its founding in 1997, the Community Foundation has provided over $1.5 million in grants to more than 200 organizations for the arts; cultural and heritage programs; educational activities; environmental improvements; and for health and human services.
