“G and C Maintenance” is the cornerstone of Gilead’s pre-vocational program for clients. G and C, (“Good and Clean”), was established in 1992 to train individuals whose symptoms were so pervasive that they could not at the time, work in the community; or who did not have any viable job skills for community work.

G and C employs about 40 different clients per year in the maintenance field. While the task focus is on maintenance work, the program emphasizes that clients are receiving job skills such as: filling out timesheets, how to get along with peers and bosses, how to work as a team, and how to take responsibility for ones work and be accountable to a company. Most of our clients move on to community placements within two years.
