Gilead Community Services has been providing housing, support services and clinical treatment to individuals with mental illness throughout Middlesex County, Connecticut since 1968. Gilead offers a continuum of services to foster recovery from mental illness, including general counseling for individuals and families through our outpatient clinic in Middletown, as well as very intensive community-based programs that offer case management and rehabilitation services to individuals who live independently and would benefit from regular clinical and support services.

The most intensive programs combine housing, clinical treatment, and case management for adolescents (14-21) and adults with psychiatric disabilities.

"My goal (at Gilead) is to empower clients to find their own voice, make positive choices and create more meaningful lives. First, we as staff must believe in the possibilities for each person's life-then encourage, support and accompany the person in the process."
